Remember to bring your Library Books tomorrow, and also that school finishes at 12.45 tomorrow, so parents need to make arrangements to have children picked up....

Week 7

We are now halfway through this term - wow it is going fast!!! The Room 8 children have been working exceptionally hard and I am really please with them all.

Remember that school finishes at 12.30 on Thursday, buses will run as usual, so the children who normally catch a bus will be supervised at school till 3.00, otherwise can all parents please arrange to have their children picked at 12.30 or soon after..

We may be able to go swimming on a couple of days this week- I will let you know as soon as I find out - maybe bring your togs on Monday just in case, it depends on whether any senior classes are going to use their times after all their swimming last week.

Remember to do your homework, we will put it on the Blog together on Monday at school, and then bring your homework book back on Friday so I can mark it. I will be including a new website called Studyladder in the homework this week, the children will have instructions how to access it on Monday.

We have the St Joseph's Day Mass in Friday, the middle school teachers are organising it, so there will be children from our area participating in the Mass, so parents please come and join us. St Joseph is important to us, as we were founded by the Joesephite Sisters - we will presenting a brief history of the Josephite Sisters involvement in Rotorua, including Sister Carina's involvement in our school- she has just celebrated 50 years as a Sister.

Remember to continue thinking about your Lenten promises, and how you are getting on with them. It is now only three weeks till Easter.

See you on Monday....

Week 6 Notices

The Year Two children in Room 8 will not be going to the Swimming Sports on Friday, I will split them up between the Junior classes.

We will have swimming in Week 6 - you will all need to bring your togs every day, please rermember to bring them our swimming time is 10.00 in the morning.

OOPS, Mrs Tootill has made a mistake - most unusual - we don't have swimming this week, because the Seniors have Swim it with tutors from the Aquatic Centre......

We will be having the middle and senior school swimming sports at the Aquatic Centre on Friday- your parents need to drop you off at 8.30 at the Aquatic Centre, and then they can pick you up anytime from 2.30. You will need your togs, towel, a sunhat, sunblock, lots of water to drink and a really big lunch to keep you going during the day. Please encourage parents to come along and watch the swimming sports, it is a fun day.

Remember to remind your parents to come to the R.E evening on Tuesday, it starts at 6.00 and will finish about 7.00.

Please remember to check the homework tab on the Blog for the week 6  homework, we will put that on the blog on Monday. Remember to bring your books back on Friday for Mrs Tootill to mark.

We are continuing to learn about Jesus in R.E. while we prepare for Easter, I hope you are all keeping your Lenten Promises.

It is our last day of Kick-it on Wednesday, you will need to bring your P.E gear.

We are continuing to talk about communities- ask your mum and dad what communities they belong to....

Have a great weekend, and remember to ask your parents to comment on our blog, and all the photos we are putting on...

We had a Tug of War this afternoon, for Golden time - it was sooooo hot out there, Mill Hill House won the competition, so they have made a good start to the year - Look how dry the field is, we could do with some rain.
